The 3rd age kiteshield is a part of the 3rd age melee set. Level 65 Defence is required to wield the kiteshield. The 3rd age kiteshield is a possible reward from treasure trails, and cannot be bought in stores nor made through the Smithing skill.
Although it is one of the more powerful shields available in-game, it is rare to see it used in combat as there are several similarly powerful shields which are cheaper or significantly easier to obtain.
