The 3rd age longsword is a part of the 3rd age melee set and was released as part of the Treasure Trail Expansion on 12 June 2014. It is a possible reward from elite and master Treasure Trails, and cannot be bought in stores nor made through the Smithing skill. The 3rd age longsword is currently the strongest longsword in-game, surpassing the Dragon longsword. It requires 65 Attack to wield.

- Despite being a longsword, the 3rd age longsword uses two-handed sword combat styles, this gives it a crush attack instead of a stab attack style making it the only longsword in-game to have a crush option.
