A player wearing the angler's outfit.

The Angler's outfit is an experience-boosting clothing set that grants additional experience when worn while participating in the Fishing skill. Bonus experience is not granted for random events or Experience lamps. A Fishing level of 34 is required to wear any piece of the outfit. Equipping the complete set is required in order to fish for minnows in the Fishing Guild's minnow platform.

Obtaining

After completing a game of Fishing Trawler, pieces of the outfit may be found in the trawler net directly west of the boat. Players have a 1/8 chance of receiving a piece of the outfit that they do not currently own.

Trivia

• Prior to an update on 11 August 2016, Ironman accounts could not obtain this outfit, due to Fishing Trawler forbidding Ironman accounts from participating. This was changed after the addition of an activity bar on the minigame.
• If the player equips the set from level 34, the set will save approximately 337,644 experience if levelling to 99, and 4,897,799 experience if levelling to 200 million. Thus any player should assess whether the time investment for the game is prudent, as the random nature of receiving the set can outweigh the potential time saved from the set.
