Bansh​ees are a slayer monster that require level 15 slayer to kill. Players must wear Earmuffs while fighting them in order to avoid the effects of their screams, which causes the player to take 8 damage and have their stats greatly reduced in Attack, Strength, Defence, Ranged, Magic, Prayer, and Agility with every attack received. As banshee's attacks are magic-based, it is advised to wear ranged armour in order to minimise damage taken while fighting them. As banshees count as undead, the effects of the Salve Amulets WILL work on them. It should also be noted that they will heal 1 health point every time your attacks miss (hitting them with a 0).

Because Banshees are "large" monsters - that is, they are 2 squares wide - it is easy to safe-spot them so you do not need to bring food to fight them. An easy spot is on the east wall of the Slayer Tower in the southeast-most room. There is a broken down wall with two standing torches adjacent to it. Between the torches there is one square of broken wall you can walk (and shoot) through. Range or mage a Banshee from the other side and shoot them through this square. Alternatively any of the other standing torches in the room can be used.
