Big shark

Big shark detail

A big shark is a large shark caught while harpoon fishing at any harpoon/big net fishing spot. Since players can only get it while fishing for sharks, it requires 76 Fishing to catch. It is a very rare catch (1/5,000). The big shark can be stuffed for 5,000 coins by the Taxidermist in Canifis.

Once the shark has been stuffed it will turn into Big shark (stuffed), allowing it to be placed inside a Player owned house's Skill Hall, requiring a Construction level of 76.

Trivia[]

  • When players catch a big shark, they receive a message saying You catch an enormous shark! instead of the normal You catch a shark!
  • When attempting to cook a big shark you will receive the normal experience and receive a normal cooked shark, so long as it is not burnt.
  • When it is taken to the Taxidermist, she will say That's quite a fearsome shark! You have done everyone a service by removing it from the sea!
