The black platebody is the fourth-best standard platebody, requiring a Defence level of 10 to equip. It can be bought at Horvik's Armour Shop in Varrock and from Zenesha's Plate Mail Body Shop in Ardougne. It cannot be made using the Smithing skill and has the same bonuses as a white platebody, excluding the Prayer bonus.
A black platebody is used in King's Ransom and Heroes' Quest if you're part of the Black Arm Gang.
It is also a reward from Level 1 Treasure Trails.
