Cape is a term applied to any kind of equippable item worn in the " cape slot" of a player's avatar that resembles a cape or cloak (as opposed to a backpack). Below is a list of the many different types of cape that players can wear in RuneScape.

	Black cape	Can be obtained by killing a highwayman.
	Blue cape	Can be obtained from the Champions' Guild.
	Green cape	Use Green dye on a normal cape (any colour).
	Orange cape	Use Orange dye on a normal cape (any colour).
	Pink cape	Use Pink dye on a normal cape (any colour) (Pink dye is obtained from Betty in Port Sarim for 20 coins after a player completes The Hand in the Sand).
	Purple cape	Use Purple dye on a normal cape (any colour)
	Red cape	Can be obtained from Thessalia's Fine Clothes in Varrock.
	Yellow cape	Use Yellow dye on normal cape (any colour).
	Cape of legends	Can be obtained from the Legends' Guild once the Legends' Quest is completed.
	Mythical cape	Can be obtained from the Myths' Guild once the Dragon Slayer II is completed.
	Champion's cape	Can be obtained from the Champions' Guild once all champions in the Champions' Challenge have been defeated.
	Eagle cape	Obtained during Eagles' Peak quest.
	Fire cape	Awarded to players who managed to defeat TzTok-Jad in the TzHaar Fight Cave activity.
	Moonclan cape	Part of the Moonclan robes set purchasable at the Lunar Isle clothing store.
	Lunar cape	Part of the Lunar equipment acquired during the Lunar Diplomacy quest.
	Obsidian cape	Dropped from the various TzHaar monsters or purchased from the TzHaar weapons store for 90,000 Tokkul.
	Graceful cape	Part of the Graceful clothing. Bought from Grace's Graceful Clothing in the Rogues' Den.
	Spotted cape	Can be obtained using the Hunter skill. You need at least level 40 Hunter to wear it.
	Spottier cape	Can be obtained using the Hunter skill. You need at least level 66 Hunter to wear it.
	Team capes	When someone wears the same wilderness cape as another player, they appear as a blue dot on each other's minimap, and their left-click attack option is moved to the right-click button instead.
	Saradomin cape	Reward from the The Mage Arena miniquest.

	Ranging cape	Can be obtained for 99,000 coins after 99 Ranging from the Armour salesman.
	Runecraft cape	Can be obtained for 99,000 coins after 99 Runecrafting from Aubury.
	Slayer cape	Can be obtained for 99,000 coins after 99 Slayer from Duradel.
	Smithing cape	Can be obtained for 99,000 coins after 99 Smithing from Thurgo.
	Strength cape	Can be obtained for 99,000 coins after 99 Strength from Sloane.
	Thieving cape	Can be obtained for 99,000 coins after 99 Thieving from Martin Thwait.
	Woodcutting cape	Can be obtained for 99,000 coins after 99 Woodcutting from Wilfred.
	Quest point cape	Can be obtained for 99,000 coins from the Wise Old Man after all quests have been completed. Can be trimmed with the completion of the Achievement Diary.
	Achievement diary cape	Can be obtained for 99,000 coins from Twiggy O'Korn after all diaries have been completed. Can be trimmed and untrimmed at will.
	Music cape	Can be obtained for 99,000 coins from Olaf the Bard after all non-holiday music tracks have been unlocked.
	Max cape	Can be obtained for 2,277,000 coins from Mac after all skills are level 99. May be combined with certain items to create the other max capes (see Max cape).

	Castlewars cloak	Bought from Lanthus at Castle Wars for 10 Castle wars tickets.
	Fremennik cloak	Available in a variety of colours, including dark green, brown, bright blue, burgundy, grey, yellow, teal, purple, pink, and black.
	Ghostly cloak	Part of the Ghostly robes.
	Ham cloak	Can be obtained from H.A.M. Members while pickpocketing or from H.A.M. guards.
	Hooded cloak	Used in Castle Wars.
	Mourner cloak	Can be obtained from killing a level 11 Mourner on the Arandar path.
	Vestment cloaks	Can be obtained as a reward from medium Treasure Trails.
