Chromatic dragons are types of dragons that appear in colours. There are four kinds of chromatic dragons, with several different dragons in each kind. From weakest to strongest, based on the standard adult form, the colours are green, blue, red, and black.

Green dragons

She is attackable only during the Dragon Slayer quest. When slain, she drops Elvarg's head, which can be returned to Oziach to finish the quest, but it is not required.
Brutal Green Dragon Brutal green dragon 227 Melee, Magic, Dragonfire (long-ranged) Ranged, Stab Ancient Cavern This dragon is significantly stronger than the regular green dragon and, with its long-range Magic attack, can be a threat to players in the Ancient Cavern. It drops dragon bones and two pieces of green dragonhide along with slightly improved drops.

Mr. Mordaut Mr. Mordaut N/A N/A N/A Random event Mr. Mordaut cannot be attacked and gives players surprise exams. Players who pass his exam receive the Book of knowledge. Prior to the Random events update on 11 September 2014, players who failed the exam were teleported to a random place, while players who passed got the reward.

Black dragons

Lava dragon Lava dragon 252 Melee, Dragonfire Ranged, Stab Lava Dragon Isle This dragon always drops lava dragon bones, lava scales and black dragonhide. The draconic visage is a very rare drop of this dragon.
Brutal black dragon Brutal black dragon 318 Melee, Magic, Dragonfire (long-ranged) Ranged, Stab Catacombs of Kourend This dragon is significantly stronger than the regular black dragon. It drops dragon bones and two pieces of black dragonhide along with slightly improved drops.
King Black Dragon King Black Dragon 276 Melee, Dragonfire - four types of long-ranged dragonbreath (regular dragonfire, shock-like breath, ice breath, poison breath) Ranged, Stab King Black Dragon Lair The KBD is the only three-headed dragon in the game. As with black dragons, they share the usual 100% drop of dragon bones and black dragonhide and the fabled draconic visage. It also has a chance to drop a Dragon pickaxe.
