A clay fireplace can be built in the fireplace hotspot of the Parlour, Bedroom, and dining room in a player-owned house. To light a fire in the fireplace, logs are needed in the inventory. Lighting it will grant 80 Firemaking experience. Players who are new to Construction may want to use the mine north of the Rimmington house portal. This results in relatively good experience for those who cannot afford anything else for a while. The player would bring a pickaxe to mine clay at the mine and soften the clay using the well, then build and remove the fireplaces. A high Mining level will increase the speed at which the clay is gathered, and a bracelet of clay will remove the need of softening with the well.
