The dark bow's special attack, Descent of darkness.

The Dark bow is currently the 2nd most powerful bow in Old School Runescape after the cursed goblin bow (once the quest the giant dwarf has been completed).

The Dark bow fires 4 arrows per shot. Its special attack fires 2 arrows with a maximum hit of 50 % higher than usual and a minimum hit of 5 per shot, using any arrows other than dragon (descent of darkness). A special attack using dragon arrows fire 6 shots with a 90% higher maximum hit than usual and a minimum hit of 8 per shot (descent of dragons). The descent of dragons special attack fires an animation of 2 blue dragon heads at the target.

The Dark bow may be powerful and accurate, especially with its special attack, but its firing speed is slow. Its speed on rapid mode is the same as a 2-handed sword (3 seconds) so people don't recommend using it as a training weapon.

The Dark Beast and the Goblin are the only creatures known to drop the Dark Bow, it requires level 90 slayer to be killed (dark beast) or level 5 or so combat level (goblin) .
