Deadly red spiders, are an aggressive species of spiders, that are found in the Varrock sewers and in the Karamja Volcano. The spiders located in the Varrock sewers are a popular melee training spot, because of their aggressiveness and because they are located in a multi-combat area. Although great for training, they drop nothing, so money making is out of the question.They are not poisonous.

However, there is a spawn of Red spiders' eggs in the Karamja Volcano that gives players the opportunity to bank the eggs in the TzHaar City bank which is located just inside the entrance of the city to the west. This is a great method for building up extra supplies to train Herblore as red spiders' eggs go into the Stat Restore, Super restore, and Weapon Poison++ potions which have 22, 63, and 73 Herblore needs respectively. Players also have the option of selling the eggs at a later time to compensate for the money lost in no drops from the Deadly red spiders.

It is also worth noting the respawn time of the eggs depends on the population of the current world the player is on. On a world of roughly 100 players the respawn takes one minute while on a world of roughly 1,500 players the respawn is 30 seconds. Since the Karamja Deadly red spiders training area is overlooked by most it is easy for a player to get a load of eggs in roughly 15 minutes, bank the eggs, and keep training in a populated world.
