Defence potions are made by mixing ranarr weed and white berries in a vial of water, requiring a Herblore level of 30 and giving 75 Herblore experience. It can be bought at the Warrior Guild Potion Shop for 114 coins. Defence potions temporarily raise your Defence level by 10% + 3.
During the Jekyll and Hyde random event, if you give Dr. Jekyll a toadflax herb, he will give out a defence potion.
As ranarr weeds are also used in the much more popular prayer potion, many players believe that making defence potions is a waste of ranarr weeds.
