The Dragon impling is the second highest impling that can be caught in the Impetuous Impulses minigame, and are located throughout Puro-Puro and Gielinor. The player needs at least 83 Hunter (or level 80-82 with a hunter potion) to capture this type of impling. Capturing a dragon impling will grant the player 65 Hunter experience if caught in Puro-Puro, or 300 Hunter experience if caught outside of Puro-Puro, throughout Gielinor.
The Dragon impling is the second most sought-after impling for players to catch, as it yields the second best rewards for looting them.
They can be caught with a butterfly net or magic butterfly net provided the player possesses an Impling Jar in their inventory. Otherwise, they may be caught barehanded starting from level 93 Hunter. The Bind, Snare, and Entangle spells may be used to stop them from moving for a brief period of time. This makes catching them much easier, as they may fly over unreachable areas if not caught on the first attempt.
Upon jarring the impling, the player can either trade with Elnock Inquisitor for three empty jars (strongly advised against) or can free the impling from the dragon impling jar, which will leave an item behind.
Excluding the items obtained from clue scrolls, the average loot per jar is 127,612. By buying Dragon impling jars, assuming you sell the loot to the Grand Exchange it costs an average of 9,262,324 to obtain one Clue scroll (elite).

In the outside world, these odds increase to 10%.

Force Spawning[]
The best method to try and force spawn a dragon impling in Puro Puro is to catch all implings at nature or above (Nature, Magpie and Ninja). This gives a 3% chance of a dragon impling spawning in one of the higher tier imps locations.
