The Dragon longsword has a special Attack, Cleave, which raises the player's accuracy and max hit by 25% for one hit, using up 25% of the special attack bar. As with all Dragon weapons, players cannot make this item using the Smithing skill. However, it can be purchased in the Zanaris marketplace from Jukat for 100,000 coins .
It is a favorite players buying their first dragon weapon as it has a low cost but can still inflict significant damage. For a long time, prior to the introduction of the abyssal whip, this was the weapon of choice for both player killing and training. Even though it has better bonuses, it is considered to be inferior to the dragon scimitar.
The weapon sticks straight up when wielded, and has the appearance of a machete of some sort.
