Dwarves are a race characterised by their short stature and love of mining and beer. They are low-levelled enemies who are occasionally given out as Slayer assignments. Even though the level 10 dwarves between Falador and the Barbarian Village appear to have steel pickaxes, they do not drop them, although they do drop bronze pickaxes.
One of the dwarves at the Mining Guild sells the Mining cape to players with level 99 in Mining for a fee of 99,000 coins.
