Fire giants are large powerful giants that are well known for their excellent Ranged and Slayer experience. They are also the strongest of the giants, with a level of 86 pushing them far beyond the ice or Moss giants of the same species. They are a common Slayer task from Duradel and an occasional task from Chaeldar, Nieve, and Vannaka.
Killing the fire giants in the Waterfall Dungeon is a popular way for Ironmen to obtain the Rune scimitar, as it is easily accessible and additionally provides plenty of safespots.

In the Waterfall Dungeon, they may be ranged or maged safely. In the Smoke Well, or Brimhaven Dungeon they have to be killed using melee or tank their attacks using ranged or magic. They have a strong melee attack. The Waterfall Dungeon is possibly the safest place to range or mage them, because there is a safespot both behind the rock in the middle of the room and in the doorway as the giants are too large (2 spaces wide) to attack you. Because of this, it is often quite crowded there. The Smoke Well is usually the least crowded.
The Stronghold Slayer Cave has a safespot that can be used with little to no interruption from other aggressive fire giants.
