A grimy avantoe is a herb that has not yet been cleaned to make an avantoe. Grimy avantoes may be grown from an avantoe seed with a Farming level of 50. It is also dropped by certain NPCs. Cleaning a grimy avantoe requires a Herblore level of 48 and gives 10 Herblore experience. Clean avantoes are used to make fishing potions, super energy potions and hunter potions, requiring levels 50, 52, and 53 Herblore respectively.
