Ground thistle is a quest item used in the Eadgar's Ruse quest. It can be made by holding a Troll thistle over a fire to turn it into a dried thistle and then crushing this in a pestle and mortar.
The dried thistle is then mixed with an unfinished ranarr potion to make a Troll potion.
