Growler is a bodyguard of Commander Zilyana, along with Starlight and Bree. It attacks using an accurate magic attack which has a max hit of 16.
Growler is not much of a threat while killing Commander Zilyana, as players are usually using the Protect from Magic prayer, making Growler's magic attack useless.

- Growler is one of only two lion-type creatures in Runescape. The other is the Shaikahan which could be killed in the Tai Bwo Wannai Trio quest and afterwards.
