Insect repellent is a bottle of bug spray found on a table in a small house north of the bank in Catherby.
It is used on beehives at the apiary to the west, between Catherby and Seers' Village, to drive bees out of their hives. Once they are out, players can collect wax from the hive using a bucket to obtain a bucket of wax.
It can also be used on large mosquitos and mosquito swarms encountered in the Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup minigame to cut their combat stats in half and preventing them from attacking for six seconds. This can be done repeatedly until their stats are reduced to level 1. However, giant mosquitos found on Mos Le'Harmless are unaffected.
