Iron axe detail

The iron axe is the second weakest axe in Old School RuneScape, being slightly better than the bronze axe. It can be used in combat or in Woodcutting to cut trees. An iron axe has the same level requirements as a bronze axe, making it the better choice for new players.

Players can make an iron axe with the Smithing skill at level 16 using one iron bar, giving the player 25 Smithing experience. Players can purchase this axe from Bob's Brilliant Axes in Lumbridge and Aemad's Adventuring Supplies in Ardougne.

Prior to the random event update, iron axes could break from the ent random event, resulting in a broken axe.
