The iron platebody is the next weakest platebody after bronze. Like the bronze platebody, it has no requirement to be worn. This makes it the best platebody for brand-new players. However, for players using Ranged or Magic equipment, an iron platebody is not a good choice due to its crippling negative bonus in those skills.
Acquirement[]
Iron platebodies can be acquired several ways:
- Players can smith them from 5 iron bars if they have at least level 33 Smithing. Doing so will yield 125 smithing experience.
- They can be bought from Horvik's Armour Shop or Zenesha's Plate Mail Body Shop
- They are sometimes dropped by greater demons, pirates, and rogues.
