Limpwurt roots are used in the Herblore skill to make strength potions and super strength potions. They are also used in free-to-play to obtain strength potions and energy potions from the apothecary.
Free players can easily obtain limpwurt roots from both hill giants and hobgoblins. Members can quickly gain massive amounts of limpwurt roots by killing monsters like Kurasks, and Nechryaels.
Limpwurt roots can also be grown from limpwurt seeds using the Farming skill. They require 26 Farming to plant and harvest. Each plant will give you 3 limpwurt roots each time you harvest. This is a set amount, which you will always get unless your plant dies.
20 Unnoted limpwurt roots must be given to Winelda during the Temple of Ikov quest.

- According to the official bestiary, hobgoblins often chew limpwurt roots, which explains the common drop of these roots for hobgoblins.
