Limpwurt roots are used in the Herblore skill to make strength potions and super strength potions. A common place for limpwurt root collecting is hunting Hill Giants in the Edgeville Dungeon, as they have reasonably high drop rates, and low defence. Hobgoblins have a much high drop rate, but are harder to kill, particularly the level 42 versions. Collecting Limpwurt roots can be very profitable due to their high demand for use in Herblore.
Limpwurt roots can also be grown from limpwurt seeds using the Farming skill. They require 26 Farming to plant and harvest. Each plant will give you 3 limpwurt roots each time you harvest. This is a set amount, which you will always get unless your plant dies.
20 un-noted limpwurt roots must be given to Winelda during the Temple of Ikov quest.
