Lumbridge Home Teleport provides players with a free transport every half an hour to Lumbridge, it is similar in most respects to Lumbridge Teleport. It takes around 10 seconds to cast the spell, and importantly, this can be interrupted at any time by combat, and only can be cast 10 seconds or more after combat has ended (similar to logging out). The spell may also only be used every 30 minutes: if a player tries to cast it before 30 minutes have elapsed, they are notified with the remaining time in minutes.

The spell can also be used as a "draw circle" emote by moving after this part of the action has been completed. This also serves as a way to check if the spell has recharged.

The complete action is:

  • Draw a circle
  • Sit down in it
  • Read the spell
  • The circle rises up and completes the transport

Controversy

Many players find that this spell takes a lot of danger out of the game, and it does. Before it was introduced, if you went somewhere unprepared you may die. Some argue that it is a good thing, less people die. The counter argument for that is 'less danger makes the game more boring'. There is also a strong argument to say that it devalues the position of the Lumbridge Teleport, given that most players won't want to teleport to Lumbridge more than once every 30 minutes anyway.
