Mahogany logs are logs obtained from Woodcutting mahogany trees with a Woodcutting level of 50, and they yield 125 experience when cut. Players can burn these logs with the Firemaking skill for 157.5 experience at level 50 or above. Mahogany logs are also needed for high-level items in Construction, and players training Construction can bring mahogany logs to the Sawmill operator north-east of Varrock at a cost of 1500 each. Alternatively, the Lunar Spell Plank Make can allow players to convert them to planks at a lower cost, but at the expense of runes.

Mahogany logs can be obtained through:

• The Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup minigame. After you have obtained 100 Trading Sticks, you can go into Hardwood Grove that has several Mahogany trees and Teak trees.
• 3 - East Kharazi Jungle, south of Shilo Village.
• 3 - Ape Atoll just before the large doors into the village. When using the Ape Atoll Teleport spell, head east and go out through the big gate. The mahogany trees are south of it.
• 2 - Mos Le'Harmless on small islands, accessed via the large cave containing Cave horrors.
• You can choose mahogany logs as a reward from Miscellania.

Making planks

There are several ways to create mahogany planks; one method is outlined below.

• 26 Mahogany logs
• 1 Willow log
• Ring of dueling (worn at all times)

Requirements

• Enlightened Journey (to use the Balloon Transport System)

Method

1. Start out at the Castle Wars lobby.
2. Withdraw said items.
3. Use the willow log for the balloon just slightly north-west outside of the lobby.
4. Upon landing, head towards the Sawmill operator north of the landing point.
5. Convert your logs into planks.
6. Use the Ring of dueling to teleport back to Castle Wars.
7. Repeat.
