Dark crabs heal up to 22 Hitpoints each, making them one of the highest-healing foods in the game. Although Cooking gauntlets mitigate the amount of burning, it is strongly recommended to achieve 99 Cooking so that the Cooking cape may be worn to have a 100% success rate of cooking them. Also, it's recommended to cook them inside the Cooks' Guild since the bank and a cooking range are very close together. Players can cook roughly 1,200 crabs an hour.
