Monkfish heal up to 16 Hitpoints each, making them one of the most popular foods in the game. Although Cooking gauntlets mitigate the amount of burning, it is strongly recommended to possess at least 90 Cooking so that there is a 100% success rate of cooking them with the gauntlets.
