Protection prayers

Protection prayers are often used to refer to the three "Protect from" prayers that could nullify or mitigate damage from incoming attacks of the respective combat style or discipline from monsters or players. They include:

•  Protect from Melee
•  Protect from Magic
•  Protect from Missiles

Player vs player

40% damage reduction.

Player vs non-player character

Blocks all damage in most situations.

Exceptions include:

• Any monster that uses typeless attacks
• Corporeal Beast (Magic only)
• Nylocas Vasilias
• Verac the Defiled
• K'ril Tsutsaroth
• Certain quest monsters:
  • Kruk
  • Glough
  • Keef
  • Kob
