A raw rainbow fish is an item that players obtain by the Fishing skill at level 38. They need a fly fishing rod and stripy feathers (obtained via the Hunter skill) to catch them, and each one caught grants 80 Fishing experience.
Any lure-fishing spot can be used to catch raw rainbow fish, such as the one east of the Barbarian Village.

A raw rainbow fish has two main uses. Firstly, players can cook it on a range or a fire to make a cooked rainbow fish, a food item. Doing so requires a Cooking level of 35, and grants 110 Cooking experience. With a Cooking level of 63 or higher it is impossible to burn the fish.
Raw rainbow fish are used in the Hunter skill as bait for barb-tailed kebbits in the Feldip Hunter area. This requires a Hunter level of 33, and yields 168 Hunter experience.
