A red feather is a drop from the crimson swift bird caught using the Hunter skill. Level 1 Hunter and at least one bird snare are needed to catch these birds in the Feldip Hunter area.
Red feathers, along with all coloured feathers gathered from the Hunter skill, can be used in place of regular white feathers in the Fletching skill. Despite the difference, the arrows still come out with white feathers and are used as normal arrows. However, they can not be used for fly fishing. They can be sold to the Varrock Fancy Dress Shop for 4 coins each. (GE buy limit tied to normal feather)
