The rune warhammer is the second strongest type of warhammer in the game, better than the adamant warhammer but weaker than the dragon warhammer. Like all rune weapons, it requires 40 Attack to wield. It is dropped by some species of trolls and implings. Players can make a rune warhammer with the Smithing skill at level 94 using 3 runite bars, granting the player 225 Smithing experience.
Wielding a rune warhammer is sometimes required during a hard emote clue scroll. Troll Generals are an easy way of obtaining as it is possible to safespottable with ranged or magic in the Troll Stronghold. Skulgrimen also has rune warhammers in his shop but there is 0 stock.
The rune warhammer can be used as a substitute for a regular hammer when banging the big door at the entrance of Bandos' Stronghold in the God Wars Dungeon.
