Sanfew serum combines the properties of Super restore, Superantipoison, and Relicym's balm (though, unlike the latter, will provide immunity to disease when consumed) potions. The duration of the antipoison lasts six minutes, the same time as a Superantipoison does.
A complete Sanfew serum can be used as a weapon against nail beasts, causing significant damage. To use it as a weapon, right-click on the potion and select use, then click on a nail beast. This should be done if a nail beast is attacking the follower in Temple Trekking.
The amount of prayer points restored by a sanfew serum can be calculated using the formula: $ 9 + floor(level / 4) $. A sanfew serum restores one more prayer point per dose than a super restore.
Sanfew serum is made by adding, in order, unicorn horn dust, clean snake weed and nail beast nails to an already made 4 dose Super restore. Partially completed Sanfew serums are called Mixture - step 1 and Mixture - step 2, but are not drinkable in these forms.
Players therefore need to make sure that the unicorn horn dust is highlighted before clicking each of the vials to avoid accidentally drinking any of the super restore. Since the intermediate potions are not drinkable, the same danger does not exist once the unicorn horn dust has been added.
96 Herblore experience is given for a completed 1-dose Sanfew serum, 128 experience for a completed 2-dose Sanfew serum, 160 experience for a completed 3-dose Sanfew serum, or 192 experience for a completed 4-dose Sanfew serum.
