The shield easel is a piece of furniture that can be built in the Workshop of a player-owned house with the Construction skill. The player can colour steel full helms, adamant full helms, rune full helms, steel kiteshields, adamant kiteshields and rune kiteshields in their family's crest colours on the easel.

Building a shield easel requires at least 41 Construction and 4 oak planks.
