Steel knife is a temporary item found only in tournament worlds. The contents of this page refer to an item only available on temporary tournament worlds as a means to test the item before release.

The steel knife is a members-only ranged projectile. The player must have at least 20 Ranged to wield this throwing knife. They can be obtained either by using the Smithing skill or trading with another player.
To create steel knives, the player must have at least 37 Smithing. Each steel bar creates 5 steel knives, granting the player 37.5 Smithing experience.
Martin Thwait at the Rogue's Den sells Steel knives for 68 coins each, but you may only buy 100 per day.
Steel knives are also rarely generated by Ava's accumulator.
