The steel platebody is a platebody made out of steel. It requires 5 Defence to wield, and can be made using 5 steel bars at level 48 Smithing, granting 187.5 Smithing experience. It can also be picked up from the Lava Maze in level 40 Wilderness, or bought from Horvik's Armour Shop in Varrock or Zenesha's Plate Mail Body Shop in East Ardougne for 2,000 coins.
