A steel sq shield is the third weakest square shield. A player with 38 Smithing can make the shield by using two steel bars on an anvil while carrying a hammer granting 75 experience. This shield can also be bought at Cassie's Shield Shop in northern Falador but it is out of stock.
It is used in a medium treasure trail.
