There is an error within this page, which I was unable to edit as it apparently triggered the "anti-meme" filter

This page is titled F2P training, but in the level 40-49 section, it makes reference to a Members area (the Tzhaar Caves). The proper F2P alternative would be the Crafting Guild, with a furnace in Falador.

Superheat[]

Why is superheating suggested in every section? For magic XP? This is a smithing guide.

Smithing?[]

I am perplexed. I'm pretty sure that smithing platebodies is far, far faster than superheating, for any ore/bar type. Brainwasher5 (talk) 10:13, July 9, 2017 (UTC)

Outdated page[]

Making Steel Nails is the cheapest way to 99 at a reasonable pace coming in at 1.03 gp per xp with current prices. It's worth noting that Silver smelting will almost always make a profit instead of just being there as an xp option. Currently, smelting silver is worth 1.6 gp per xp which can in turn fund faster, more expensive smithing options.

As mentioned above, platebodies are fastest if cost isn't an issue. However even so, at current prices we can see some metals are clearly more cost efficient even though each tier is a plain leap in xp gains:

  • Bronze platebodies are 15.14 gp per xp (selling to general store for better price)
  • Iron platebodies are 5.9 gp per xp (general store again)
  • Steel platebodies are 6.3 gp per xp, selling to GE.
  • Mithril platebodies are 4.4 gp per xp, selling to GE.
  • Adamant platebodies are 3.9 gp per xp,selling to GE.
  • Rune platebodies are 63 gp per xp when selling to GE but there's no reason to make them.

Superheating costs more than making platebodies, and for less smithing and total xp/hour. Of course, not everyone has 43 magic, and some are simply skillers so it's not an option.

I fixed a lot of the stuff people mentioned here on the talk page, I am not sure how to add in give gp/xp prices so if someone could put those in for the platebodies that would be swell.

GP calcs added[]

Added GP calculations to the platebody strat. TBH I don't know if it's the best way for F2P to level but then again I don't konw much. Eventually I'd like to add or see someone add a money making leveling guide and one that takes into account exp/hr. FroTW (talk) 05:30, March 26, 2018 (UTC)FroTW

Error[]

There is an error on this page where there was mention of Super Energy Potions, which are a member-only feature under the adamant platebody section of the article. 69.142.144.49 05:33, June 17, 2018 (UTC)

Fixed. Replaced reference to super energies with energy potions, which are free to play.
