Teak saplings are obtained by planting a teak seed in a plant pot filled with dirt with a gardening trowel in the player's inventory, then by using a watering can on the plant pot. A player must wait at least one crop cycle in order for a teak seedling to sprout into a sapling in the plant pot.
A player must have at least level 35 in Farming to be able to make this item.
Planting a teak sapling yields 35 experience, and checking the health gives you 7,290. A teak tree takes approximately 74.6 hours to grow.
Planting the sapling in a hardwood tree patch will result in the chance of growing a teak tree in a player's hardwood tree patch. Players can ask the gardener for assistance in watching over their teak tree for a payment of 15 Limpwurt roots, which may only be worth paying when the growth of the teak tree is important due to the cost of the 15 limpwurt roots versus teak seeds. However, only about 1/8 of planted teak saplings die, so it is normally cheaper on average to just use supercompost and not pay the gardener.
These can only be planted in Fossil Island.
