Thieving capes are a lighter colour of purple when compared to the [[Cooking cape]] and have a black-trim if the player has mastered more than one skill. As with all skill master capes, the cape gives a +1 skill boost when activated. Thieving capes can be relatively quick to obtain with about 80–100 hours of training. Over 240k experience can be gained per hour past level 91 at Pyramid Plunder. However, due to the skill being rather click intensive, this has deterred many from the tedious road to 99

Thieving cape detail
Thieving cape(t) detail

A Thieving cape is the master cape of Thieving. The cape can be bought alongside the Thieving hood for 99,000 coins from the skill master, which in this case happens to be Martin Thwait at the Rogues' Den.

Thieving cape emote

A player performing the thieving cape's emote.

Like all skill capes, the Thieving cape gives +9 to all defensive stats, and also a +4 bonus to prayer if it is trimmed, which requires a separate skill at level 99. The cape is automatically trimmed if this condition is met.

When the thieving cape is equipped, players pickpocketing NPCs will have an additional 10% chance of being successful. This effect stacks with the bonuses from Ardougne Diary.

As of 20 April 2019, there are 34,245 current members that have achieved level 99 in Thieving.
