Tin ore detail

Tin ore is an ore used to create the metal alloy bronze. Tin ore, along with copper ore, is the first ore a player can mine through the Mining skill. Tin rocks can be found in various mines, but being most abundant in the East or West Varrock Mine. Mining a tin ore grants 17.5 Mining experience for each ore mined. After being mined, a tin ore rock takes approximately 2 seconds to respawn. A player can smelt tin ore into a bronze bar through the Smithing skill by using it on a furnace along with a copper ore, granting 6.5 Smithing experience.

Many prefer completing The Knight's Sword quest, an easy F2P quest. It's an alternative that grants 12,725 Smithing experience, enough experience to increase a player's level 1 Smithing to level 29 Smithing.

Power training Mining (P2P)

For members, it is not really known that players can power level the Mining skill with tin ore in the Port Khazard mining site. This is because of two fast respawning tin rocks that are very close to a bank deposit box. These two tin rocks are the closest mining rocks to a fast bank source.

Smithing

A player can smelt tin ore into a bronze bar through the Smithing skill by using it on a furnace along with a copper ore, granting 6.2 Smithing experience; this requires level 1 Smithing. Bronze bars can then be used on anvils with a hammer to create Bronze items, granting 12.5 exp per bar used (Some things may need more than 1 bar, such as a battleaxe).
