Trading sticks are the main currency of the jungle village of Tai Bwo Wannai. They can be received by doing the Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup minigame, selling items to the to the shop inside the wooden fence that you reinforce in Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup, killing monsters, or buying them from other players.

Acquiring trading sticks

There are three ways to get trading sticks. The most common way is doing the Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup minigame, the next way is selling to the shop within the wooden fence, and lastly trading with other players.

Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup

During the Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup minigame, you receive favour. Telling villagers that you’ve done some work, they will exchange your favour and give you trading sticks. After a villager has exchanged with you, the villager will not exchange with you until a variable amount of time. This is the most efficient way to get trading sticks since you also get several skills trained by doing the minigame.

Selling items

This is the quick way to get trading sticks. If you’ve completed Shilo Village, and mine gems, or you make a lot of cocktails, it is easy to sell items in the shop. They buy all of the Shilo gems, uncut and cut, and all of the cocktails. But you should only sell after you’ve collected a lot of the gems so you don’t slowly mine an inventory, cut, then sell, or make an inventory of cocktails and then sell.

Trading with other players

The title says it all, It’s that simple. Since trading sticks are tradeable, you might sometime see someone sell trading sticks, but it isn’t that common.

Spending trading sticks

There are two places to spend trading sticks: Gabooty's shop within the Tai Bwo Wannai village and the Hardwood Grove.

The Village Shop

The Gabooty's village shop is within the wooden fence of Tai Bwo Wannai village. You can choose to trade for cocktails, villager clothes, gem machetes, tropical gems, and gout tubers, which are normally out of stock. Wearing the villager robes will cause the villagers to give you more trading sticks exchanged to favour.

The Hardwood Grove

Near the eastern end of the village is an enclosed area known as the Hardwood Grove. Inside are mahogany and teak trees, however you must pay 100 trading sticks to enter.
