Protect from melee will prevent a Tyras guard from damaging the player, however those lacking prayer levels and/or points will need another strategy. [[Magic]] or [[Ancient Magicks]] can be dangerous to use because most robes have low defence and there is a lack of [[safe spots]], but it has proven to be effective.
