Uncut sapphire detail

An uncut sapphire, the lowest level free-to-play gem

An uncut gem is a gem that hasn't been cut. It can be cut into a gem using the Crafting skill.

Uncut gems can be obtained from mining ores, random events, shops, as a drop from monsters, and various minigames.

Uncut gems can be mined from gem rocks. This can be done in the north-west corner of Shilo Village, Lunar Isle Mine and sometimes in Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup minigame. Players can only mine from gem rocks on a members' world. It is also possible to loot gems from safes in Rogues' Den.

Uncut and cut gems can be purchased from, stolen from, or sold at a gem shop. They can be identified with a red gem Gem shop icon icon on the World Map. There is one in Al-Kharid, one in Ardougne, one in Mor Ul Rek, and one in Falador.
