The Vyrewatch are the vampyric vanguard that receive blood tithes from the population of Morytania and suppress any resistance to the Drakan overlords. They patrol the skies as both soldiers and lords of Meiyerditch and ask any human, including the player, that catches their attention for a blood tithe. If the player refuses he may escape the tithe, be forced to give a tithe (dealing about 6 damage), or be sent to the mines.
Vyrewatch have combat levels ranging from 105 to 125. You can fight the Vyrewatch; however, they are invincible, even to the Ring of Recoil or Poison. Due to them being invincible, not much are known about these creatures and are only seen in Darkness of Hallowvale (and if you visit Meiyerditch afterwards). In the original RuneScape, a quest called Legacy of Seergaze was released, where the player created a new weapon, combining the Rod of Ivandis, and a blessed silver sickle, to create the Ivandis Flail, which was capable of killing a Vyrewatch, it's body could then be cremated similar to the Shades of Mor'ton minigame, however this quest and weapon are yet to be added to the current version of the old school servers.
